How it works

You choose a shape and a sound. BeatArc plans a run of pieces along that curve and joins them into one continuous file.

  1. 01

    Choose a shape

Each arc is a different curve in time — one climbs and stays up, one arrives fast and holds, one rises and comes back down. You pick by looking at the shape rather than by reading a label, because the shape is the thing that actually differs.

  2. 02

Say what it is made of, or do not

Genre, mood, instruments, tempo. Every field is optional and free text, so "neo-soul, sultry, electric bass and Rhodes" works and so does leaving all four blank. Anything you skip is chosen to suit the arc.

  3. 03

Pick a length and start it

Five to sixty minutes. The session is planned as a run of separate pieces whose intensity follows the curve you chose — around eight of them for fifteen minutes.

  4. 04

    Walk away

Progress is shown as real stages, not a percentage bar that guesses. Close the tab if you like; the work carries on and the finished session is waiting in your library.

  5. 05

    Play it, keep it

One continuous file, in the browser or installed on your phone. Save a session to the device and it plays with no connection at all.

What a session records about itself

Every session keeps the settings it was actually made with, including the ones chosen for you and the seed the generator used. That pair is the whole record of what a session was — which is what makes “another one like that” a thing you can ask for rather than a thing you try to remember.
